Karachi Weather Forecast Today: Met Office Predicts Hot, Humid Conditions With Light Rain
Residents of Karachi should brace for another sweltering day as the city’s weather is set to remain hot and humid over the next 24 hours, the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
The Met Office confirmed that partly cloudy skies will dominate the atmosphere, while light rain or drizzle is likely to hit certain parts of the city during the morning and nighttime hours. “Light rain or drizzle may occur in some areas of the city during the morning and night,” the weather department stated.
Temperatures are forecast to peak between 34°C and 36°C throughout the day. The department further noted that humidity levels have climbed to a uncomfortable 75%, adding to the heat index felt by citizens across the metropolis.
Meanwhile, sea breezes are providing minimal relief, blowing at a recorded speed of 15 kilometres per hour. “The humidity level in the air was recorded at 75%, while sea breezes were blowing at a speed of 15 kilometres per hour,” the Met Office confirmed.
The lowest temperature registered in the city over the past 24 hours stood at 29.5°C, reflecting the persistently warm overnight conditions that have gripped Pakistan’s largest city in recent days.
Residents are advised to stay hydrated, avoid unnecessary outdoor exposure during peak afternoon hours, and remain alert for sudden light showers, particularly during early morning and late-night periods.
