New Rain System To Bring Heat Relief Across Punjab From Tomorrow

A fresh weather system is set to move into Punjab starting tomorrow, bringing the possibility of rainfall in Lahore and several other districts, the Meteorological Department announced on Saturday.

According to the Met Office, the system is expected to remain active for nearly three days, bringing light to moderate rain in some regions, while other areas may witness heavier downpours.

The upcoming spell is anticipated to bring down the ongoing heat and humidity levels across the province, offering much-needed relief to residents.

Weather experts noted that Lahore will stay partly cloudy today, with only a slight chance of rain. The city recorded a minimum temperature of 27°C, while the maximum is expected to climb to around 40°C.

In preparation for the incoming weather conditions, WASA Managing Director Ghufran Ahmed has issued an alert, instructing field staff to remain on standby to ensure proper drainage arrangements once the rain begins.

The Meteorological Department has also urged relevant authorities to finalize necessary preparations in advance, in order to deal with potential urban flooding and other weather-related issues during the rainy period.
