Iran Seeks Peace but Remains Ready for Any Conflict says Pezeshkian

Masoud Pezeshkian has reiterated that war serves no one’s interests, while emphasizing that Iran is fully prepared to defend itself against any threat. Speaking at the 33rd Monetary and Banking Policy Conference hosted by the Central Bank of Iran in Tehran on Sunday, Pezeshkian said that continued conflict would bring no benefits to any side and stressed the importance of pursuing stability and peace.
The Iranian president, however, rejected any suggestion that Tehran fears military confrontation. He praised the readiness of the country’s armed forces, including both the Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and said the Iranian people have consistently demonstrated resilience in the face of pressure and conflict. According to Pezeshkian, Iran remains capable of sustaining its defense if hostilities continue.
Pezeshkian also highlighted the recently signed memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States, saying that most of its provisions are beneficial to the Iranian nation. He expressed confidence that the results of the ongoing negotiations and the agreement’s implementation would soon become evident to the public, presenting the memorandum as a step toward securing Iran’s national interests.
