Switzerland Praises Pakistan’s Role in Iran-US MoU

Swiss Vice-President and Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis has commended Pakistan for its role in supporting the implementation of the Iran-United States Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Speaking after meeting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at Bürgenstock, Cassis said Switzerland recognises Pakistan’s significant contribution to the continued discussions surrounding the implementation of the agreed US-Iran MoU.

He added that Pakistan continues to play a part in efforts tied to carrying out the memorandum, and noted that Switzerland supports initiatives focused on de-escalation, regional stability and lasting peace.

Cassis observed that Switzerland, a country that places strong emphasis on mediation, dialogue and good offices, values Pakistan’s role in advancing diplomatic engagement and easing tensions across the region.
