Two Palestinian Teenagers Reportedly Killed Near West Bank Settlement

22 June, 2026 15:20

Israeli forces reportedly shot and killed two young Palestinian men near the illegal settlement of Karmei Tzur in the southern West Bank, according to Palestinian sources and the official news agency WAFA. The victims were identified as 15-year-old Reda Sami Hassan Awad and 19-year-old Issa Arafat Ismail Awad, both from the town of Beit Ummar near al-Khalil (Hebron).

Reports say the incident occurred during heightened military activity in the area, with local accounts alleging that the two individuals were left bleeding at the scene and that medical teams from the Palestinian Red Crescent were initially denied access. Israeli authorities have not immediately provided a detailed public response to the specific allegations surrounding the incident.

The killings come amid a broader escalation of violence in the West Bank, where raids, clashes, and settler-related confrontations have increased in recent days. In a separate incident in Nablus, a Palestinian woman was reportedly injured during an Israeli military raid on the village of Kafr Qallil, highlighting continued tensions across multiple parts of the occupied territory.
