Iran FM Discussion Over Call With Counterparts

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a series of phone calls with counterparts from Pakistan, Egypt, the UAE, the UK, and Romania to discuss regional diplomacy, including the so-called “Islamabad agreement” and broader West Asia developments.
In his conversation with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Araghchi thanked Islamabad for its hospitality during Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s recent visit. He also expressed hope that the understandings reached during that visit would be actively implemented at different levels.
Dar updated him on Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to secure the release of Iranian crew members from the Lenor-Davina vessel.
Both sides emphasized continued coordination and close diplomatic engagement aimed at strengthening regional stability and pursuing long-term peace.
In a separate call with Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, Araghchi discussed broader regional tensions and the status of Iran–U.S. diplomatic channels, with both sides stressing the importance of maintaining stability and preventing escalation in West Asia.
