Pakistan Ministers React to Report on Fake Foreign Awards Conferred on Indian PM Modi

Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and Defense Minister Khawaja Asif have reacted to a recent international media report questioning several foreign awards and honors given to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during overseas visits.
Information Minister Attaullah Tarar shared the article on social media, saying it raises serious questions about what he described as “manufactured prestige politics.” He added that such honors, if created shortly before foreign visits, can undermine their credibility and turn into a source of embarrassment rather than recognition.
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif also commented on the issue, describing the awards as “artificial appreciation” and a form of political publicity. He said some of the awards appeared to have been created shortly before official visits, and alleged that there were indications of artificial intelligence being used in some related documentation, according to his remarks.
Both ministers said that the practice of presenting such honors as global recognition of popularity has been used for years, and argued that it raises questions about the authenticity and intent behind such awards.
