Shehbaz Sharif Pays Tribute to Iran’s Martyred Supreme Leader During Tehran Funeral Ceremony

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has paid tribute to the Martyred Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, praising his leadership and influence while extending condolences to the Iranian government and people during funeral ceremonies in Tehran.

In a post on X on Saturday, Sharif said he had conveyed the deepest condolences of the government and people of Pakistan, describing Ayatollah Khamenei’s wisdom, visionary leadership and profound impact on Iran and the wider region as a legacy that would be remembered for generations.

The prime minister attended the ceremony with a high-level Pakistani delegation to express solidarity with Iran. The delegation included Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, along with senior parliamentarians, ministers and other government officials.
