Funeral Prayers for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to Begin Today in Tehran

TEHRAN – Thousands are expected to attend attend funeral prayers for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Tehran today as the nation bids farewell to its late leader.

Officials said the funeral prayers will begin at the  at 9:30am Pakistan Standard Time (PKT). Leading the funeral prayers will be Grand Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani.

Thousands of mourners have gathered at the Imam Khomeini Mosque ahead of the funeral prayers.

At the place for the funeral, special security have arrangd by the Authorities, which are maining on high alert to ensure the ceremony is held peacefully.

The funeral is expected to draw a massive turnout as people gather to offer prayers and bid farewell to the late Iranian leader.
