North Korea has conducted a major weapons demonstration aboard its newly built 5,000-ton destroyer, the Kang Kon, showcasing a range of systems including cruise missiles, naval artillery, automatic guns, and electronic warfare equipment. The tests were reported by state media and carried out under the supervision of Kim Jong Un, who described the drills as a way to verify the ship’s combat readiness.
