PAF Group Captain Asim Martyred While Rescuing Woman from Alleged Abduction Attempt

Pakistan Air Force Group Captain Asim embraced martyrdom after intervening to rescue a woman during an alleged abduction attempt on Islamabad’s Ninth Avenue. According to initial police findings, the officer noticed a motorcyclist forcibly pulling the woman and immediately turned back to help. As the woman ran toward his vehicle for safety, the suspect allegedly opened fire following a verbal altercation with the officer, fatally wounding Group Captain Asim before fleeing the scene.

Police said the woman informed investigators that the suspect, identified as Saad, had lured her by claiming he would take her to work but later attempted to take her elsewhere. When she resisted, the situation escalated until Group Captain Asim stepped in. The woman credited the officer’s timely intervention with saving her life, while law enforcement agencies have launched operations to arrest the suspect.

Group Captain Asim is survived by his widow, a daughter, and a son.
