Bollywood Actor Rajesh Sharma Undergoes Treatment After Insect Bite During Shoot

During the shooting of actor Prabhas’s film at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, Bollywood actor Rajesh Sharma was bitten by some poisonous insect leading to a severe infection. He is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital to Manipal Hospital in Dhakuria, West Bengal.

His co-star Sudipa Chatterjee informed about this through a health note released on social media on behalf of the actor’s family. According to doctors, Rajesh Sharma is still not out of danger. Her social media post address that the incident happened when Rajesh Sharma was shooting for Prabhas’s upcoming film there.

After completing the day’s shoot, the actor were speaking with local technicians near a plant-covered area, when he was bitten on the leg by an insect. At that time the bit was not serious and did not seek any immediate medical help and resuming filming.

After bitten by insect, about six hours, severe pain feel on the actor’s right leg and his health started weaken. Even in this condition, he caught a flight to Kolkata.

During the journey, Rajesh got high fever and feels severe pain and when he reach Kolkata his condition become worse in the next day, prompting his family to rush him to Manipal Hospital in Dhakuria, where he remains admitted.

Doctor Abhijit Bhattacharya said the infection has spread from the toes to the knee, with large blisters forming on the affected area, He added that it is too early to make any definite assessment of his condition.

Doctors are concerned that blood clots may form due to the infection. Doctors say that if this clot reaches the lungs, it could be life-threatening.

Rajesh Sharma was recently seen in the films ‘Bhoot Bangla’ and ‘Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart’. Meanwhile, actor Prabhas is currently busy shooting for director Hanu Raghavapudi’s film ‘Fauji’ and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film ‘Spirit’.
