Prince and Princess of Wales Raise Awareness About Suicide Prevention

Prince and Princess of Wales have united to spread awareness about suicide prevention and encourage people to discuss mental health without hesitation.

The Wales visited Everton Football Club’s new Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool on the World Suicide Prevention Day, where the royals revealed On Your Side, a new suicide prevention toolkit designed for people working and participating in sports.

The couple’s official Instagram account shared photos from the event and introduced the new initiative. The Royal Foundation worked with the British Standards Institution and Chasing Stigma to develop the toolkit.

The toolkit is designed to help people in sports to notice signs of struggle, talk about mental health and guide those in need towards the right support. It is planned for everyone, from local sports clubs to professional teams.

During the visit, Princess of Wales came in a striking blue pantsuit and stood beside William who wore a Navy suit.

Prince William has made an important part of his public work over mental health awareness and suicide avoidance. The future King Speech is highlighted how friends, teammates, coaches and colleagues can sometimes be the first to notice when someone is struggling.

William and Kate once again used the event to prompt people of the significance of talking openly and supporting those going through hard time.
