Mojtaba Khamenei Meets Ghalibaf Amid Iran’s Tensions With US and Israel

Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has met Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf to discuss the country’s political and economic situation, as tensions with the United States and Israel continue, according to Iran’s Press TV.
The broadcaster reported that the meeting covered the military, economic and psychological dimensions of what Iranian officials describe as a confrontation with Washington and Tel Aviv.
During the meeting, Mojtaba Khamenei emphasised the role of parliament in maintaining national unity and social cohesion while strengthening Iran’s defence capabilities and other national resources.
He also urged the government and parliament to work together to address economic difficulties facing the public. Economic pressure has remained a major concern for Iranian authorities amid international tensions and restrictions affecting the country.
The discussion also addressed Iran’s strategic partnerships and the need to advance relations with its partners, Press TV reported.
However, the broadcaster did not provide the date or duration of the meeting, nor did it identify any specific decisions reached by the two leaders. It also remains unclear whether the discussion resulted in concrete measures to address economic problems or advance diplomatic and strategic initiatives.
Ali Khamenei, Iran’s previous supreme leader, was reported killed during US-Israeli military action. His son Mojtaba subsequently assumed the leadership role, although public appearances and independently verifiable visual material have remained limited, according to the supplied report.
