Iran Launches Strikes on US Military Facilities Across the Region

Iran’s Armed Forces have announced coordinated missile and drone strikes targeting US military facilities in Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman, describing the operation as retaliation for continued American airstrikes on southern Iran. According to a statement issued by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), the attacks were carried out by its Aerospace Force alongside the Iranian Army following what Tehran called repeated US military aggression.

The IRGC also claimed that tensions escalated after the United States allegedly attempted to provoke instability through the movement of several vessels south of the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian officials said the country’s Navy responded decisively, prompting what they described as subsequent US airstrikes on Iranian coastal bases and telecommunications infrastructure along the country’s southern shoreline.

Iranian authorities stated that the first phase of the retaliatory operation targeted key US military infrastructure, including Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan, while warning that any further American military action would be met with a stronger response.
