Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei to Host Memorial Ceremony for Father

Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei is set to host a memorial ceremony honoring his father, Martyred Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, according to an announcement issued by the Leader’s Office. The commemoration is scheduled to take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Mosalla, where mourners are expected to gather in remembrance.

In its statement, the Leader’s Office said the ceremony will serve as an opportunity to reaffirm commitment to the path of the Martyred Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and renew allegiance to his successor. The announcement described the event as a symbol of unity and continuity following the late leader’s death.

According to the statement, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei was martyreed alongside several family members during US-Israeli air raids on Iran on February 28. It also noted that Iran’s Assembly of Experts appointed Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei as the New Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution on March 8.
