US Forces Claim First-Ever Use of Suicide Sea and Air Drones Against Iran

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has claimed that American forces used advanced suicide aerial and maritime drones for the first time during operations against Iran.
In a recent statement, CENTCOM said US forces carried out strikes on dozens of locations inside Iran, targeting air defense systems, combat drones, and other military capabilities.
The US military claimed that the attacks were conducted using advanced precision-guided weapons aimed at reducing Iran’s ability to target international commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to CENTCOM, the strikes targeted senior Iranian air defense systems, coastal radar stations, missile and drone production facilities, as well as small military vessels.
The US command further stated that fighter aircraft and naval vessels participated in the operation, alongside newly deployed unmanned systems designed to strike targets by directly impacting and destroying themselves.
The announcement marks what US officials described as a new phase in modern drone warfare, with advanced autonomous systems being used alongside traditional military assets during operations against Iran.
