IRGC Launches Missile Strikes on US Fifth Fleet Headquarters in Bahrain, American Base in Jordan

14 July, 2026 11:09

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced missile and drone strikes on multiple US military facilities in Bahrain and Jordan, including the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet, as part of what it described as retaliatory operations against continued American actions.

In a series of statements issued on Tuesday, the IRGC said its Navy targeted several US military facilities in Bahrain, including weapons support depots, a satellite communications center, troop accommodation areas, and military radar systems.

The Corps claimed that the targeted sites were destroyed during the strikes.

In a subsequent statement, the IRGC said its Aerospace Force carried out coordinated missile and drone attacks on the US Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain, claiming that fuel storage facilities were set on fire.

The statement further claimed that Patriot radar systems, air-control radar, and C-RAM early warning systems were also hit during the operation.

Ballistic Missile Strikes Reported on US Base in Jordan

The IRGC also announced ballistic missile strikes on a US military facility in Jordan, describing it as a key location used by American forces for operations against Iran.

According to the statement, the base had previously been used to launch attacks against Iranian targets. The IRGC said the operation was aimed at responding to those actions, while emphasizing that the strikes were not directed against the Jordanian people.

The latest developments come amid heightened tensions between Tehran and Washington following repeated accusations by Iran that the United States has violated ceasefire arrangements and continued hostile actions.

Iran has previously warned that any aggression against its territory or interests would face a response, saying it would target military assets involved in operations against the country.

The IRGC said its retaliatory strategy would continue until what it described as the cessation of hostile actions, adding that future responses would target military facilities linked to attacks on Iran.
