IRGC launches new wave of retaliatory strikes on US military facilities in Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan

TEHRAN: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced a new wave of retaliatory strikes against US military facilities in Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan, saying the attacks were carried out in response to renewed American strikes on Iranian territory.
In three separate statements issued on Wednesday, the IRGC said the operations constituted the fourth, fifth and sixth phases of Operation Nasr 2, targeting key US logistics, command and military infrastructure across the region.
According to the IRGC, the fourth wave targeted the KJL logistics and support center at Mina Abdullah in Kuwait, which it described as one of the US military’s principal logistical hubs in West Asia. The Guard Corps claimed the facility was struck and set ablaze during the operation.
The IRGC said the latest US attacks on Iran’s southern coastal provinces, involving cruise missiles and aerial bombardment, were carried out after Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz had prevented vessels from cooperating with Washington. It described the American operation as an attempt to conceal what it called Washington’s military failure.
In its fifth phase, the IRGC Navy said it struck several US military facilities in Bahrain, including command and control centers, logistics warehouses, fuel depots and installations linked to the US Fifth Fleet. The Guard Corps claimed the targeted facilities suffered significant damage.
The statement also criticized the United States for increasing its naval presence in the Indian Ocean under the pretext of securing maritime routes, warning that continued efforts to pressure Iran could further affect regional energy corridors.
The sixth phase targeted the US-operated Al-Azraq Airbase in Jordan, where the IRGC said its Aerospace Force launched missile strikes against aircraft shelters housing F-15, F-16 and F-35 fighter jets. It also claimed that several MQ-9 drones stationed at the base were destroyed during the attack.
Iran said the operations were part of its ongoing response to what it described as repeated US violations following the ceasefire announced in April and subsequent Pakistan-mediated negotiations. Iranian officials maintained that any further military action against the country would be met with additional retaliatory measures.
The IRGC reiterated that its military operations would continue as long as what it described as US aggression persists, while emphasizing that Iran remains committed to defending its sovereignty and national security.
