Spain Beat France to Reach FIFA World Cup 2026 Final

Spain reached the FIFA World Cup 2026 final after beating France in the semi-final at Dallas Stadium.

Spain defended well throughout the match and took their chances in attack to secure the victory.

The first goal came after Lamine Yamal was fouled inside the penalty area by Lucas Digne. Mikel Oyarzabal scored from the penalty spot to give Spain the lead.

Spain doubled their advantage when Pedro Porro combined with Dani Olmo before calmly finishing into the bottom corner.

France tried to fight back, with Kylian Mbappe creating chances and substitutes Desire Doue and Rayan Cherki joining the attack. However, Spain’s defence stayed strong, with goalkeeper Unai Simon making important saves and Marc Cucurella stopping a dangerous Mbappe attack.

The win sends Spain to the World Cup final on Sunday at New York New Jersey Stadium, where they will face either England or Argentina.

Spain won their only previous World Cup title in 2010, while France will now play in Saturday’s third-place playoff.
