Israeli Attacks Kill 16 Palestinians in Gaza in 24 Hours

At least 16 Palestinians were killed and several others injured in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, according to Palestinian officials.
The attacks hit several areas, including residential buildings and a police station, as fighting continued in Gaza.
In Deir al-Balah, an Israeli drone strike hit an apartment belonging to the Abu Qassem family, killing four family members, including a man, his wife, and their six-year-old daughter.
In another attack near Sheikh Ajleen Mosque in Gaza City, two Palestinians were killed and several others were injured in a drone strike.
In northern Gaza, an Israeli strike on a police station in Jabalia refugee camp killed six members of Gaza’s police force, according to Gaza’s Interior Ministry. A civilian woman was also reported killed in the attack.
In southern Gaza, four more Palestinians were killed in separate Israeli attacks in Rafah and Khan Younis. Several others, including a child and a woman, were injured.
Palestinian officials said Israeli forces also fired at tents sheltering displaced families in the al-Mawasi area.
According to Gaza authorities, the total Palestinian death toll since the war began in October 2023 has reached 73,233, while 173,707 people have been injured.
Israel says its military operations target militant groups in Gaza. The casualty figures cited above are from Gaza authorities.
