Global Oil Prices Rise as US-Iran Conflict Escalates

18 July, 2026 11:58

Global crude oil prices surged as the conflict between the United States and Iran intensified.

In the international market, Brent crude rose more than 4.5% to $88.10 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude was trading at $82.49 per barrel.

Experts said growing tensions in the Middle East have raised concerns about possible disruptions to energy supplies, pushing oil prices higher.

They warned that higher oil prices could affect the global economy and increase inflation around the world.
