Noreen Niazi Summoned by NCCIA in Cyber Crime Inquiry

The National Cyber ​​Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has issued a notice to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Chairman’s sister, Noreen Niazi, for her alleged campaign on social media against state institutions and summoned her on July 20.

The notice issued by the NCCIA states that the investigation is ongoing in connection with the NCCIA Cyber ​​Crime Reporting Center Islamabad inquiry.

The notice tells Noreen Niazi that she has been found spreading alleged false, offensive and inflammatory social media content against state institutions.

The NCIA has directed Noreen Niazi to record her statement in Islamabad in connection with the inquiry and has issued a summons notice under inquiry number RE-2031/2026.

According to the notice, if she does not appear, that will be considered as her having no explanation or defense to submit.

Authorities have directed Noreen Niazi to appear before the Cyber Crime Reporting Center, on July 20 at 12:00 pm. The notice further instructs her to carry her original identity card, and states that non-compliance with the summons is punishable under Section 147 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Noreen Niazi’s statement was described as a reflection of a self-interested narrative and it was said that her misleading statement would be used by the Indian media to create a narrative against Pakistan.
