Who Was Kevin Keegan? Football Icon Dies at 75, Prince William and Fans Mourn

Kevin Keegan a football legend and one of the England’s most famous players and managers has passed away at the age of 75. His death news confirmed by his family on Monday only seven weeks after sharing the news of his stage four cancer diagnosis.

Fans across the England and throughout the world loved Keegan dearly. In his playing career he represented clubs including Scunthorpe United, Liverpool, Hamburg, Southampton and Newcastle United. His famous attacking style admire his fans and made him one of the most respect personality in English football.

The biggest success of his life is, at the time of Liverpool, where he played a key role in helping the club win three English top-flight titles, two UEFA Cups, an FA Cup and the European Cup in 1977. In 1978 and 1979, while playing for German club Hamburg, made a history by winning the prestigious Ballon d’Or twice in a row. He is the only English player in history to have won the prestigious award twice.

Keegan also received a milestone in his career playing for England national team, he scored 21 goals in 63 international appearances and later went on to manage the national side.

He enjoyed a successful spell as Newcastle United as a role of manager, directorial the club return to the Premier League. Later, he had spells managing Fulham and Manchester City.

After his death, Newcastle United paid and an emotional tribute to their former player and manager, and remembering him the most influential and beloved figures in the club’s history.

The Britain future king Prince of Wales also shared a heartfelt tribute, describing Keegan as a wonderful player, manager and person who brought joy and inspiration to many.
