Anupam Kher Wins Ashoka Award 2026 for His Contributions to Cinema

Senior Bollywood actor Anupam Kher has been conferred with the Ashoka Award 2026 for his artistic contributions.

Sharing pictures from the ceremony on Instagram, the actor expressed his happiness and gratitude for the award and said that this is one of the most meaningful awards for him as it has appreciated him not only as an actor but also as a producer, director, writer and motivational speaker.

Anupam Kher wrote in his post that “Every award is not just an achievement but also a great responsibility, I will continue my work with integrity, passion and humility in the future as well.”

The actor accredited and show gratitude to Charles Walters Council for Innovation and Research, the Association of Indian Bureaucrats, and all the other organizers. He also conveyed his gratitude for his niece Vrinda, who collect the award on his behalf.

Actor Anupam Kher recently appeared in ‘Tanvi The Great’, marking his comeback to filmmaking as a director as well.
