Field Marshal Asim Munir Says Pakistan Will Continue Decisive Action Against Terrorism

Rawalpindi: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, addressed participants of the 20th National Workshop Balochistan during an interaction at General Headquarters (GHQ), reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to restoring lasting peace in Balochistan through the combined efforts of the Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies, and public support.
He said intelligence-based and targeted operations against Fitna al Khawarij and Fitna al Hindustan would continue until terrorist networks and their facilitators were completely dismantled. The field marshal stressed that Pakistan remained determined to eliminate terrorist infrastructure wherever it threatened the country’s security, adding that foreign-backed proxy groups had repeatedly attempted to destabilize Balochistan but would not succeed in undermining national peace and stability.

Describing Balochistan as a province rich in natural resources and home to resilient and patriotic people, Field Marshal Asim Munir said ongoing development initiatives by the federal and provincial governments were focused on improving socio-economic conditions through an inclusive approach. He also acknowledged the positive role of civil society, academia, the media, and the youth in strengthening national cohesion, emphasizing that unity, resilience, and collective commitment would remain key to Pakistan’s progress, peace, and sovereignty.
