Iranian Commander Warns US: One American Soldier Targeted for Every Iranian Citizen Martyred

Iran’s armed forces have warned the United States of a strong response if Iranian civilians are targeted.

According to Iranian state media, Major General Ali Abdollahi, head of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, said Iran would respond to any attacks on its citizens. He warned that for every Iranian killed, an American soldier could be targeted.

Addressing US troops, Abdollahi said Iran was ready to respond to any aggression and would not compromise on its sovereignty, national security or the protection of its people.

He added that if the US launches another military action, Iran’s response would be stronger than before. He said the Iranian armed forces are fully prepared to deal with any threat.

There has been no official response from the US Pentagon or the White House to the Iranian commander’s remarks so far.

Tensions between the US and Iran have increased concerns about regional stability, while developments around the Strait of Hormuz and Red Sea routes have also affected global energy markets.
