Armed Resistance Against Afghan Taliban Intensifies, Thousands Rise Against Regime

Armed resistance against the Afghan Taliban has reportedly intensified, with opposition groups claiming that thousands of young Afghans are joining the resistance.

Recent clashes between the Taliban and armed opposition groups have raised questions about the regime’s claims of having complete control over Afghanistan.

The National Resistance Front (NRF) has claimed that a large number of Afghan youths are joining its ranks to oppose the Taliban regime.

According to the NRF, more than 2,000 young people from Badakhshan, Balkh, Panjshir and other areas have joined resistance groups.

The NRF said that Badakhshan is gradually returning to the hands of what it called the country’s true sons.

Meanwhile, Afghan journalist Usman Bazgar reported that the Freedom Front had claimed to have captured a Taliban checkpoint in Zebak.

Former Afghan diplomat Fayaz Ghiasi criticized the Taliban, saying that freedom had been suppressed in Afghanistan but that northern and northeastern provinces, including Badakhshan, would be freed from Taliban control.

Recent clashes and advances by Taliban opposition groups in Badakhshan have also raised questions about the regime’s claims of peace and stability in Afghanistan.
