10 Killed, 6 Injured as House Roof Collapses in Lahore

At least 10 people were killed and six others injured after the roof of a house made of mud and iron beams collapsed in Lahore.

The tragic incident took place near Sikh Canal Stop in Bhatta Muhammad Din Colony, located in Lahore’s Baghbanpura area. The roof suddenly collapsed, trapping more than 10 people under the debris.

After receiving information about the incident, Rescue 1122 teams immediately reached the site. More than 40 rescuers, along with 10 emergency vehicles, took part in the rescue operation.

According to rescue officials, the roof was made of mud, T-iron and girders. It suddenly collapsed under the weight, trapping several people beneath it.

After a difficult rescue operation, teams recovered the victims from the debris. Ten people, including Shahida, Tasneem, Mujahid, Hamad and a young girl, died from their injuries.

Six others, including Sinha, Sahar, Shahid and Sabir, were seriously injured. Nasser and Zahid were given first aid at the scene. The injured and bodies were shifted to Mayo Hospital and Services Hospital for treatment and further procedures.
