IRGC Says Israeli Drone Shot Down Over Bandar Imam Khomeini

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said its forces shot down an Israeli drone over Bandar Imam Khomeini after detecting it in the city’s airspace. According to a statement issued by the IRGC unit in Bandar Imam Khomeini, the drone was intercepted and brought down before it could complete its mission.

The statement said debris from the drone fell onto a residential building in Bandar Imam Khomeini, but no casualties were reported. Iranian authorities said the incident caused material damage only, with no injuries or fatalities among residents.

The IRGC added that its bomb disposal and security teams secured the crash site, neutralized any potential hazards posed by the wreckage, and removed the drone’s remains from the area.
