OGRA Hikes LPG Prices in Pakistan for August 2026
OGRA has increased the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs13 per kilogram for August, raising the rate from Rs241 to Rs254 per kg.
According to a notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority, the new LPG prices will take effect from midnight on August 1.
With the increase, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder has gone up from Rs2,849 to Rs3,001. The price of a commercial cylinder has also increased from Rs10,961 to Rs11,546.
The price hike is expected to add to the financial pressure on inflation-hit consumers.
Chairman of the LPG Industries Association Pakistan, Irfan Khokhar, urged the government to provide relief to consumers and ensure LPG is available at official prices.
He also called on the government, the Petroleum Ministry and OGRA to ensure fair distribution of LPG among licensed marketing companies. He said this could help control black marketing and profiteering and make LPG more affordable for consumers.
