Ishaq Dar, Jordan FM Unite on Palestine, Push for Regional Peace

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, met Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi on the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem in Amman.

During the meeting, both leaders welcomed the growing momentum in Pakistan–Jordan relations and reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation across political, defense, economic, educational, cultural, and people-to-people sectors.

The two foreign ministers also exchanged views on key regional developments, with particular focus on the deteriorating situation in the Occupied West Bank. Senator Ishaq Dar appreciated Jordan’s continued role in safeguarding the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem and praised Amman’s steadfast support for the Palestinian people.

The discussions also covered the evolving regional situation, including recent developments involving Iran and the United States. Both sides emphasized that dialogue and diplomacy remain essential for reducing tensions and preventing further escalation.

Pakistan and Jordan further reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination at both bilateral and multilateral forums, including the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), to promote regional peace, stability, and cooperation.
