JD Vance Says One Faction in Iran Wants Talks, Another Wants War

US Vice President JD Vance has said that Iran’s leadership is divided, with one group supporting negotiations and another favoring continued conflict.

Speaking to Fox News, Vance said tensions between the United States and Iran are likely to rise and fall, but he believes the situation will ultimately benefit the American people.

Vance, who led the US negotiating team during talks in Islamabad, said the internal divisions in Iran have made the situation more complicated.

Meanwhile, some media reports have suggested that Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf may visit Pakistan in the coming days, although Iran has not officially confirmed the reports.

Ghalibaf served as Iran’s chief negotiator during the Pakistan-mediated talks between Tehran and Washington, which resulted in the signing of a memorandum of understanding. However, the agreement became ineffective after tensions and clashes between the two countries resumed.
