Aubrey Plaza and Christopher Abbott Welcome First Child, Baby Girl Reportedly Born

An American actress Aubrey Plaza and boyfriend Christopher Abbot have welcomed their first baby, sharing the joy of parenthood for the first time as per reports.

According to TMZ-obtained pictures, the actress, 42, was spotted with her newborn in New York City after watching Christopher Abbott’s final performance in the Broadway production Death of a Salesman,

Reports from various US outlets suggest that, Aubrey Plaza and Christopher Abbott became parents to a daughter in the final week of July.

The actress’ pregnancy news was revealed in April, almost a year after she lost her husband, Jeff Baena.

According to reports, Plaza and Baena were separated for four months prior to Baena’s death by suicide in January 2025 at the age of 47.

Plaza spoke about her pregnancy for the first time on the SmartLess podcast in April.

“Well, there’s a baby inside of me,” she said before offering a light-hearted update.

“Today was a big day. I went to the doctor’s today, and my dog also went to the doctors,” she noted. “Both of us – my dog’s getting a scan right now. I got a scan earlier. I’m not kidding.”

She shared that she was “excited” about becoming a mother.

“I’ve always wanted to see what that’s all about, you know?” she said. “It just seems so interesting, that whole thing.”

The beginning of Plaza and Abbott’s relationship has not been publicly revealed, they have a history of working together, including their collaboration on Danny and the Deep Blue Sea and their roles in the 2020 comedy-thriller Black Bear.

Plaza began dating Baena in 2011 and the pair married in May 2021 while quarantining together amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a joint statement with Plaza and the Baena family they described his death as an “unimaginable tragedy”.

“We are deeply grateful to everyone who has offered support. Please respect our privacy during this time.”
