Sonu Nigam Sings During Surgery, Explains How Viral Video Came Online
Sonu Nigam has shed light on his viral video from the operating room seen performing Suhani Raat Dhal Chuki by Mohammed Rafi from an operating table saying the surgery was performed for a recurring growth on his left ring finger.
Sonu Nigam said, “It’s been happening for some time. I had a surgery four months back to remove it, but it has come back again. I think it’s got to do with some arthritis condition that I have in my bones, probably.”
He more open that the following sequence of treatment remains unclear after the tumor appeared again.
The Saathiya vocalist explained that the singing happened spontaneously and was not part of any plan.
“Singing in the OT just happened organically. Dr Nilesh Sathbhai is an admirer of mine and he was playing my songs during the surgery,” he said, referring to tracks from his album Rafi Resurrected. “As the surgery was happening, between some songs, there were a couple of songs that came without the voice. So, organically, I started singing.”

The unplanned concert turned into a emotive moment that everybody in the room appreciated.
The Ab Mujhe Raat Din singer said, “They really enjoyed it. And they actually said that this has never happened, that a patient is singing for the doctors while they do surgery.”
Sonu Nigam sung two to three songs and advised that the doctors capture the minute on camera, ensuing in the video ultimately appearing online.
The singer clarify that he is not taking a break after his surgery, revealing that he has already attended the launch of his song Chunni and continued with his professional commitments.
