Balochistan Officials Condemn Terrorism, Vow to Restore Peace

Balochistan Deputy Speaker Ghazala Gola, Rahila Hameed and provincial minister Meena Majeed Baloch have condemned recent terrorist attacks in the province, saying militants affiliated with what they described as “Fitna al-Hindustan” are targeting civilians, women and children. Addressing a press conference, the officials said terrorism in Balochistan would be eliminated and pledged to promote peace, development, prosperity and education across the province.

Provincial Minister Meena Majeed Baloch said the “ugly face” of the terrorists had been exposed, emphasizing that the women killed by militants were mothers and daughters. She said the people of Balochistan, particularly patriotic Baloch citizens, had no connection with terrorism and accused militants of seeking to prevent the province from achieving peace, development and educational progress.

Rahila Hameed said terrorists could not achieve their objectives by killing women and criticized what she described as the lack of condemnation following the killing of two women inside their home. She said the government and people would continue efforts to confront terrorism and ensure that Balochistan moves toward greater stability, development and prosperity.
