Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired a meeting in Lahore to review projects aimed at improving the supply of clean drinking water across the province. The meeting examined water-supply pipeline projects in Chakwal, Rawalpindi, Rajanpur, Faisalabad, Murree and Attock, with the chief minister directing officials to compile and verify reliable data on water requirements according to population.

Maryam Nawaz ordered the immediate provision of 21 water bowsers in Rajanpur and directed that water tanks be supplied in Murree to address drinking-water needs. She also instructed authorities to introduce beautification and other development projects in Rojhan. The meeting agreed to prioritize water-supply schemes for eight water-scarce villages in Chakwal, while proposals for pilot water-supply projects in Rajanpur, Jampur, Chak Shigari and Dajal were also reviewed.

The meeting further agreed on a pilot project to improve water supply in Chak Jhumra and suburban areas of Faisalabad. Maryam Nawaz emphasized that ensuring access to clean drinking water is a priority for the provincial government, saying that her administration would continue working until clean drinking water is delivered to households across Punjab.
