Pakistan Rifle Team Shines at 7th F-Class World Championship 2026

Pakistan delivered an outstanding performance at the 7th F-Class World Championship 2026, securing the individual world championship title and finishing as runners-up in the team competition.
Led by Ahsan Gulrez, the Pakistani team competed against some of the world’s top long-range shooters at the championship held in Bisley, United Kingdom, where 207 elite shooters from 24 countries participated. Individual competitions were held over 800, 900 and 1,000 yards on August 12 and 13, followed by the FTR team competition on August 15 and 16.
Pakistan’s 12-member squad dominated the individual FTR events, winning 4 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze medals, the highest medal tally in the FTR category during the championship. Junaid Ali produced the standout performance, defeating 206 competitors to become the individual FTR world champion. He won three gold, one silver and one bronze medal, marking the biggest individual achievement in Pakistan’s international F-Class shooting history. Muhammad Waleed also contributed with one gold and one bronze medal.
In the Under-25 category, Huzaifa Gul won three silver and two bronze medals, while Ahsan Gul secured a bronze medal. Seven Pakistani shooters, including Ahsan Gulrez, Junaid Ali, Waleed, Ubaid, Qasim, Huzaifa Gul and Junaid Waqas, finished among the championship’s top 100 competitors.
The F-Class team competition featured teams from 11 countries, including former world and European champions. Pakistan narrowly missed out on the top position after a highly competitive contest, earning the silver medal and finishing as runners-up. The achievement is particularly significant as Pakistan has established itself as a major force in international F-Class shooting in just three years, highlighting the country’s growing talent and expertise in the sport.
