‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’ Sequel Could Reunite Hudson and McConaughey

There’s exciting news for fans of classic romantic comedies, the fan-favourite 2003 film ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’ could soon return with a next segment, over two eras after Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey enchanted viewers with their fun-filled love story.

A report by Variety discloses that, Paramount is presently evolving the sequel, while the development is still in its early stages. Nothing has been confirmed about the story yet, and the screenwriter and other artistic team associates are still being decided.

The filmmakers are reportedly hoping to reunite Hudson and McConaughey as Andie Anderson and Benjamin Barry. Hudson is probably would be seen with Stacey Sher (known for her work on major films including Pulp Fiction, Erin Brockovich and Django Unchained,) as a producer for upcoming sequel.

The original movie followed Andie, a magazine writer who takes on a tricky assignment. She has to date a man and then become such an unbearable girlfriend that he will leave her within 10 days. She soon meets Benjamin, an advertising executive who happens to have his own secret plan. He has bet that he can make a woman fall in love with him in the same amount of time.

Their conflicting strategies lead to sufficiently of funny moments, but stuffs get difficult when they begin to grow real feelings for one another.

Following his rom-com era, McConaughey works on more serious roles in films like ‘Interstellar’, ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ and ‘Dallas Buyers Club’, for which he won an Oscar.

Hudson, meanwhile, recently received her second Oscar nomination for Song Sung Blue and currently stars in Netflix’s sports comedy Running Point.

As the follow-up is still being developed, fans will have to wait for more facts. But the chance of seeing Andie and Benjamin together another time is already sufficient to bring back plenty of nostalgia.
