Nora Fatehi Opens Up About ‘Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke’ Controversy

Nora Fatehi has opened up about the controversy surrounding the Hindi version of ‘Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke’, revealing how she dealt with the backlash that followed the song’s release.

The track, featured in Sanjay Dutt’s film ‘KD – The Devil’, came under fire over its lyrics and visuals. The debate turn out to be severe enough for Nora to appear before the National Commission for Women (NCW) for a hearing on May 7.

During the Dream with Dr Sheen podcast interview, Nora revealed that he was already prepared for the criticism that followed online. She claimed that hat paid influencers helped intensify the online backlash surrounding the song.

Nora explained that she stressed that she was not tangled in approving the Hindi version of the song. She clarified that she had initially recorded the song in Kannada closely three years ago and did not recognize the language at the time.

As per Nora’s statement, revealed that she had no idea about the Hindi dubbing and lyrics until later. She informed the director about her distresses and made it clear that she did not support of being linked to the Hindi version.

The actress-dancer ultimately separated herself from the project and did not promote the song. Following the penetrating criticism, the track was sooner or later removed.

Nora enlightened that she was busy with a three-day shoot when the controversy started, so she firstly had no clue how reckless the condition was intensifying online.
