Iran FM Says Netanyahu Pushed US Into War, Calls Israeli PM a ‘Snake’

TEHRAN: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu played a key role in persuading the United States to enter the conflict against Iran, referring to the Israeli leader as a “snake.”

According to AFP, Araghchi made the remarks in a post on X, referring to comments Netanyahu reportedly made in Hebrew about convincing the US administration to take military action against Iran.

Araghchi said Netanyahu had made extensive appearances on American media, claiming that the Israeli prime minister had spent nearly 1,000 hours on US television and used the exposure to influence American public opinion and policymakers.

The Iranian foreign minister said Netanyahu had simultaneously praised US President Donald Trump’s leadership while highlighting his own influence on Washington’s approach toward Iran.

In this context, Araghchi described Netanyahu as a “snake” and said the Israeli prime minister had pushed the United States toward war with Iran.

Araghchi’s remarks come amid continuing military tensions between Iran, the United States and Israel, with Tehran maintaining that Washington and Tel Aviv are responsible for escalating military confrontation in the region.
