King Charles Welcomes Pakistan Cricket Team at Clarence House

King Charles met Pakistan’s cricket team and officials at Clarence House in London on Wednesday, commending the players and recognising Pakistan’s contribution to regional peace and security.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi was also present during the meeting. The King spoke with the players and team officials and discussed cricket as well as Pakistan’s efforts to promote peace and security.

According to Naqvi, King Charles encouraged the Pakistani players and appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for peace. The monarch also showed interest in cricket and spoke with Naqvi about the country’s role in maintaining regional peace and stability.

The meeting was also attended by the British High Commissioner, who told King Charles that Pakistan and Mohsin Naqvi had played an important role in supporting peace efforts in the region.

Naqvi described the meeting as “very productive” and expressed hope that it would lead to positive outcomes.

During the royal audience, Pakistan captain Babar Azam presented King Charles with a signed cricket bat on behalf of the national team.

The Royal Family also shared pictures from the meeting on its official X account, writing: “This afternoon, The King welcomed the Pakistan National Cricket Team to Clarence House.”
