Italian Ambassador Ugo Ciarlatani Meets Fahd Haroon, Discusses Digital Media Landscape

ISLAMABAD, September 3, 2026: The newly appointed Ambassador of Italy to Pakistan, H.E. Ugo Ciarlatani, called on Minister of State/Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Digital Media Fahd Haroon at his office in Islamabad.

Fahd Haroon welcomed Ambassador Ugo Ciarlatani on assuming his diplomatic responsibilities in Pakistan and wished him a successful tenure. He expressed the hope that his appointment would further deepen the longstanding and friendly relations between Pakistan and Italy.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the evolving new media landscape, international media trends and the growing role of digital platforms in public engagement, along with other matters of mutual interest.
