21 Khawarij Killed in Security Operations Across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Islamabad: 21 Khawarij belonging to the Indian-sponsored Fitna-ul-Khawarij were killed in various operations by security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa between September 3 and 5.
According to the ISPR, 10 more Khawarij hiding in the area were killed after a successful operation by security forces near the Pak-Afghan border in North Waziristan on the intervening night of August 31 and September 1.
After this operation, the total number of Khawarij who tried to infiltrate into Pakistan and were effectively killed by security forces has reached 25.
In another area of North Waziristan, the movement of a group of Khawarij was detected near the Pak-Afghan border, security forces took timely and effective action targeting the group, resulting in the killing of 7 Khawarij.
During joint operations in Kohat and Dera Ismail Khel districts, 4 more Khawarij were killed in two separate encounters. Sanitization operations are underway to eliminate any Indian-sponsored Khawarij present in the area.
These ongoing incidents along the Pak-Afghan border once again support Pakistan’s position that the Taliban regime has failed miserably to prevent Afghan soil from being used by terrorist organizations under its auspices for cross-border terrorism against Pakistan. GeographicReference
The Afghan Taliban regime has consistently failed to ensure effective border management and fulfill its international obligations against terrorism. Pakistan’s security forces are steadfast in their commitment to defending the country’s borders.
The indiscriminate and sustained campaign against terrorism by Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies under the Federal Apex Committee will continue at full speed, with the aim of completely eradicating the scourge of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
