Prince Harry Announces First Engagement Since Returning to UK

After returning to Britain, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are started to settle into their new family life. The couple are expected to stay as private citizen and away from royal duties, in the lines with their 2020 agreement. Before relocating to California, the couple regularly took part in major royal events, such as the annual Remembrance service at the Cenotaph.The event is specifically close to the Duke as he served in the British Armed Forces for a decade.

Although the Sussexes now stay nearer to the royal family, a close sources say the California return couple fathom that this does not mean they will return to royal events. Harry could instead spend Remembrance Sunday with one of his military charities, including the Invictus Games, which he founded in 2014.

A friend of the Duke of Sussex said that Harry “will do whatever they want him to do”.

Harry and Meghan will remain as private individuals

When Sussexes moved away from their royal roles in 2020, their strategy to keep on partly working a “half-in, half-out” model was rejected. The late Queen Elizabeth later said they and their son Archie would always be loved members of the family. As part of their new plans, they gave up official royal duties, as well as military roles, and stopped acceptance public funds. They could keep private charities and associations but could no longer represent the Queen officially. They also agreed not to use their HRH titles as working royals.

Harry Reveals First Engagement Following UK Return

Soon after coming back to the UK, Prince Harry revealed his military-related arrangement. He will join fellow veterans for a skydive supporting Sunnybrook and the True Patriot Love Foundation in Canada. The event will honour World War II veteran Ed Marshall, whom Harry met last year, alongside Ed’s grandson Bailey.
