Marunal’s early television days old video viral in which, she is with her co-star Arijit Taneja and talk about fitness. After he praised fit women, she jokingly advised him to marry a muscular woman.

In response Mrunal replied: “Do you want to marry a girl who is manly with muscles? Go marry Bipasha. I am far better than Bipasha.”

The video sparked a severe criticism from toward Mrunal, social media users filled the comment section with trolling the actress due to her “manly” comment. As one user wrote, “The audacity to say ‘I’m far better than Bipasha’ with this face? Girl, get out of delulu.” Another user commented, “Ew, this creature thinks she’s better than Bipasha.” Another user penned, “Bipasha is far better.”

How Did Bipasha Basu React to Mrunal Thakur’s Controversial Comment?

Bipasha Basu reacted to the debate and addressing Mrunal Thakur’s past remark through a note that read, “Strong women lift each other up,” without naming her.

She penned: “Get those muscles beautiful ladies, we should be strong. Muscles help you attain, good physical and mental health forever! Bust the age old thought process that women should not look strong or be physically strong.”

As soon the Bipasha’s shared not went viral Mrunal Thakur make a public apology for her old comment, confessing she was only 19 when the video was recorded. She said the bouncy wit went too far and stated regret over her words choice.

Mrunal admitted that she had no intention of body-shaming Bipasha, while confessing that her statement declared otherwise. She also clarified that age and experience had transformed her outlook, helping her appreciate beauty in all its forms.

Recently Bipasha posed for Elle India’s cover, top fashion designer Masaba Gupta, admired the actress’s beauty and timeless appeal. Designer reshared the Elle India cover post on her Instagram story on Sunday penned few praising comment of Bipasha over her muscular physique criticism.

By sharing magazine cover, featuring Bipasha Basu, designer wrote, “I am very happy to see Bipasha on a cover. You see, she is the last of the OGs. There will not be another Bipasha because everything else is a cookie-cutter template today. Boring. Dull. Doesn’t inspire one bit of confidence. And Bipasha Basu, I love your athletic build.
