Pezeshkian Vows Iran Will Resist Until Aggressors Feel ‘Complete Regret’

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has vowed that Tehran will continue resisting foreign aggression until the aggressors experience “complete regret,” rejecting US President Donald Trump’s claims that Washington is heading toward victory in its war against Iran. In a post on X on Tuesday, Pezeshkian said Iran has consistently opposed war and sought regional stability, but would not surrender its sovereignty or rights in the face of aggression. He stressed that the Islamic Republic would continue its resistance with strength in defense of the Iranian nation.

Pezeshkian’s remarks came after Trump claimed on Truth Social that oil prices would fall sharply once the United States “win the war with Iran.” Trump predicted that gasoline prices in the United States could fall to $3 per gallon and eventually below $2, while reiterating his claim that Iran would never acquire a nuclear weapon. The US president presented the predictions as evidence of an impending American victory.

The Iranian president’s response comes amid continued tensions between Tehran and Washington. Iran has rejected US efforts to force it into capitulation through military pressure and economic sanctions, maintaining that its national sovereignty and rights are non-negotiable. Tehran has repeatedly portrayed resistance against foreign military and economic pressure as a central element of its national policy.
