PM Shehbaz Condemns Houthi Attacks, Reaffirms Pakistan’s Unwavering Support for Saudi Arabia’s Security and Sovereignty

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the Houthi attacks on several cities in Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kingdom’s sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.
According to reports, Yemen’s Houthi group Ansar Allah carried out attacks targeting civilian and economic facilities in the Saudi cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Najran and Jazan.
The attacks left 73 people injured, including women and children, raising fresh concerns over the safety of civilians and critical infrastructure amid heightened regional tensions.
Condemning the attacks, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said such actions posed a serious threat not only to innocent human lives but also to regional peace and security.
The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s consistent support for the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia, stressing Islamabad’s solidarity with the Kingdom in the face of threats to its security.
He expressed solidarity with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, and the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia.
Prime Minister Shehbaz also expressed sympathy with those injured in the attacks and prayed for their swift and complete recovery.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy longstanding fraternal and strategic relations, with Islamabad consistently expressing its commitment to the Kingdom’s security and territorial integrity. The two countries also maintain close cooperation on a range of bilateral and regional issues.
The latest attacks have once again highlighted growing security challenges in the region and concerns over threats to civilian populations and economic infrastructure.
Prime Minister Shehbaz’s statement underscored Pakistan’s position that attacks endangering civilians can have consequences beyond national borders and risk further undermining peace and stability across the wider region.
