Samay Raina Clarifies Relationship With Sharon Verma

Indian comedian Samay Raina has denied dating rumours involving fellow comedian Sharon Verma after their playful interaction on India’s Got Latent Season 2 caught the attention of fans.

During an Instagram AMA on Wednesday, a fan directly asked Samay if he was dating Sharon. The comedian quickly dismissed the rumours, replying, “No brother, just internet doing its thing.”

The dating speculation began after Sharon appeared as a panellist alongside Orry and Archana Puran Singh. In the episode, she engaged in some friendly banter with  Samay about their respective Bihari and Kashmiri. Their joke exchanges chemistry and frequent eye contact led fans to believe there could be something more between them.

To adding further fuel to their relationship rumors, some romantic edits featured the two comedian start roaming on the social media.

However, their interaction also attracted political criticism. Ram Kadam, a BJP MLA, criticized the episode expressed concern over the comments, that religious beliefs and the feelings of Kashmiri Pandits should be treated with respect.

Sharon is not the only woman recently linked to Samay. The 28-year-old comedian has also faced dating rumours involving actor Medha Shankr. During an earlier episode, he described her as his “sabse acchi dost” and appeared to be more lenient with her during a roast.

Meanwhile, India’s Got Latent continues to attract attention after facing controversy during its first season. Ranveer Allahbadia’s remarks led to FIRs against him, Samay and the show, resulting in all episodes being removed from YouTube. Season 2 has continued to draw large audiences despite criticism over its more filtered content.
