Punjab Launches CM E-Bike Scheme Phase II, 432,000 Students Register in Two Days

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched Phase II of the CM E-Bike Scheme, opening the online portal following the Punjab Honhaar Scholarship and laptop program. According to officials, 432,000 students across Punjab registered for the e-bike scheme within just two days, while the applications of more than 108,000 students have already been processed and submitted.
Applicants must have a Punjab domicile or identity card and must be regular students enrolled in a public or private degree college or university. Students must be at least 18 years old to qualify, while only one student from each family will be eligible to receive an e-bike. Each successful applicant will also receive a helmet and safety rod free of charge, along with two days of training on how to operate the electric bike safely.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed officials to take steps to ensure that e-bikes are delivered within six weeks after completion of the application process. The scheme is aimed at improving students’ access to educational institutions by providing them with affordable and environmentally friendly transportation.
